Sausage, Potatoes, and Cabbage

🥘 Ingredients

  • Polska Kielbasa (cut into bite-sized pieces)

  • butter or oil
    2 tbsp
  • cabbage (cut into wedges)

  • caraway seeds

  • carrots (sliced)

  • celery (chopped)

  • chicken stock

  • fennel seeds

  • onion (diced)

  • potatoes (diced)

    Melt butter or oil over medium heat.

    Add celery , onion , caraway seeds , and fennel seeds . Saute until vegetables are crisp-tender.
    celery: 1 (chopped), onion: 1 (diced), caraway seeds: 2 tsp, fennel seeds: 1 tsp

    Add Polska Kielbasa . Cook until warmed through or slightly browned, stirring frequently.
    Polska Kielbasa: 1 lb (cut into bite-sized pieces)

    Add water and chicken stock , carrots , and potatoes . Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring to low boil.
    water: 2 c, chicken stock: 2 c, carrots: 2 (sliced), potatoes: 4-6 (diced), salt, pepper

    Add cabbage on top.
    cabbage: 1 (cut into wedges)

    Reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Add water if needed to keep from burning.
